Is this a snail or some sort of parasite?

Hi,

I've got a couple of pictures below of something that I'm not sure if it's either a snail that's come out of his shell or if it's some parasite that's come in on a coral. If it's the second I'm unsure how as everything in my tank gets dipped for 30 minutes before it goes in.

Any help would be appreciated :)

...and they readily breed in our closed systems. Kinda neat to watch them climb to the top of a rock and broadcast spawn in the tank. I used to have them in spades. Upon restarting a tank after a long hiatus I had a hard time tracking them down. Finally found two locally and now I have about 200 in my little 15g. I need to get some of the babies moved over to my other tanks.

Oh fantastic! Nothing to be worried about then. Will save me some money on buying more clean up! I'll have to grab a few shells for them though. Thank you both

Don't worry about the shells - snails grow their own (including Stomatellas, which have small shells - you can see your Stomatella's shell in the pic; it's the reddish brown part; the grayish/greenish part is the mantle, the slimy part of the snail).
