So i have a bunch of Nass, Certhis, and a few cat eye, turbos and margarita snails but there is this one snail that just doesn't seem to fit. He looks identical to a Nass snail but 3 times bigger. I feel like i read somewhere that there is a snail that looks like a Nass snail that isn't and is bad for the tank....needless to say i am worried whether he is Friend or Foe??

What do you think....sorry but these are the best shots i got...he likes to come out during brine shrimp time! You can see he looks like a dalmatian under and his shell looks like a roided Nass...i am unsure

There is a large version of those snails and that's what you got there. They get big, in comparison.

It's funny though that all my other Nass snails i got were pretty much the same size and havent grown much over a year or more :squigglemouth: but this one is massive!!

Be careful. I had these in my tank. They were about the same size as yours. They would go after snails and anything else that stopped moving for a second. I had 4 and had to pull them all out. I found an article on them and can't seem to find it or remember what they were called. A lfs sold them to me as a leopard nas.

I have 1 or 2 nass that are pretty big. They will climb on the glass when food it in the tank. I have actually taken a couple out over the past year just because they have gotten to big and keeping moving frags around the sand. Now I just cut the end of the frag plug off....lol
