Recently picked up some cool pieces and one of them was a hammer coral with a unique color morph. At first I didn’t notice it and I think neither did the LFS. The guy told me it wasn’t grafted and that only the skeletons were stuck together but After getting home, I noticed the colors.

The heads are completely separated but the colors of the purple tip are showing up in the green hammer. You can see the lime green and purple tips and some bi color effect on some tentacles

This is a crazy thing to see in my eyes. Haven’t been in the hobby that long and to have a piece like this is pretty exciting because I can’t find much at all on this happening.

have you ever experienced this before?

Wouldn’t consider it grafted but two mixed together with nice effect

If those polyps are attached to the flesh of the teal hammer that would be neat. But if its coming from the skeleton or head to the purple one it is not truly grafted.

A cool effect either way.

They’re totally separate heads and the flesh is independent of each other
