He just looks ticked off. Keep an eye on him, my understanding is they will start bleaching and turning white if they really get in trouble. Them cocooning up like that is just to protect themselves

how old is the tank?
What were the last parameters tests you had?
Are you using tap or reverse osmosis/de-ionized water?

Please provide more information...

What are your most current water test results? Please post them. I am particularly interested in your salinity, pH and Alkalinity levels.

What kind of light are your using?

How old is the tank?

How do you make your water; RODI or tap water with conditioner?

I agree with the light question. I work full spectrum light most of the day. Blues are on only an hour or two at night. I keep BTA, rock flower, long tentacle, reef clams. I think blue light is only to show the colors, but these animals need some white full spectrum light. Then make sure you buy test kits, even if it is only API Reef Master kit. I use API Reef kit for everything but magnesium, which is the Salifert kit.

Not gonna lie… my anemone now looks like that but that’s cause I broke down the tank and set it up across the house so he probably won’t be happy for a couple of days…

Another question is how long have you had this anemone?

Second picture is from a few days ago
