Hi guys,

I am about to start cycling my first tank in the next week or two here and just was wondering if I need a wave maker for the cycling process? I do plan on buying some wave makers in the future, however I'm trying to space out the purchases of equipment I absolutely need. I have a Waterbox Marine 110, and a Sicce 5 return pump already. Will not having a wave maker during the cycling process slow it down/prevent it from happening?

Thanks!

They’re not a necessity for cycling. I would just make sure there’s some surface agitation from your return nozzles
