I'm working on building a sump for my 36 gallon tank. It's going to fit under 1 side of the stand. The whole sump is going to be 10x12. I think I'll have 4 5x6 chambers. I was thinking of making one of the chambers be a refugium with chaeto. Would a 5"x6" chamber be a waste of time and effort?
I feel like a refugium does more to the health of a tank than just nutrient export. Like a place for Copapods. Someone was telling me that if my goal was copapod breeding, I'd be better off filling the chamber with small rubble rock
