So I noticed my sand has been geting kind of clumped and snotty. At first i thought it might be a resurgence of amphidinium dinos so I busted out the trusty microscope to confirm.

No dinos. YAY! But I was very surprise at what I did find- some sort of branching algae growing between the grains of sand and “tying” them together!

Has anyone else ever seen this?
