I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on the ideal setup for growing macroalgae fast? There's very few suppliers where I am but plenty of people looking for some. I'm thinking a small tank where I dose nutrients with a high powered light, a similar set up to my phytoplankton. Any ideas/tips?

I grow chaeto this way, it works well. Stock tank, nutrients and a grow light with whirlpool type flow.

@Maebh
Have you considered which macro you would grow?

I have macro growout tanks and they consume massive amounts of nitrogen. I use a concentrated liquid kelp with 0.3% N and it’s not enough nitrogen, so I alternate with dosing NH4.

I'd probably try caulerpa species first!
