Not only did prices not reflect an increase on 1/15, Petsmart has them for 20% off! Damm I could have saved allot of money if would have waited!
Glad you posted- It just made me contact a person that works for supplier and if you look- It is the buckets being reduced at this time to run out the old batch lots and the consensus is that they want to phase out buckets due to costs of bucket and damage during shipment of buckets.
Seachem has gone to boxes only and aquaforest is about to do the same. . . Hmmmm
Boxes should have gone up already but depends on the LFS and if it is recent ordered stock

that price has being same for over a month now! what did you pay for them?

...actually this post got me thinking, can we set up a new thread (or keep this one alive) and all of us would be updating it whenever we find deals on salt online!? salt is something we all use!
Also 1/15 was a proposed and not actual date although it was said Mid January

That’s too bad. Manual was fun … made the car feel a little more power with the down shifting.
New GT500s are all automatic :(
I still prefer a automatic gt500 over any of these automatic scat packs

Not to hijack the thread. I think counting dollars for salt is really not reasonable since we’re 1000’s of dollars in the hobby

LOL

Had an manual Challenger Hellcat and an automatic Charger Hellcat.

The manual was terrible... felt like rowing a boat compared to the '13 GT500 and especially the GT350.

The automatic Charger Hellcat was pretty nice, just felt like a normal plush sedan 99% of the time.

What is everyone getting for parameters on their panic purchased IO?

I rolled and tumbled and shook the bucket to get it mixed well. These numbers are from new Salifert kits cross tested on blue bucket to confirm normal readings. Refractometer calibrated with store bought and Randy’s DIY solution. Water mixed for 24hrs before testing.

Just a heads up to advise that there will be a "substantial price increase" of Instant Ocean and Reef Crystal salt prices effective Jan 15, 2023.
Time to stock up now !!
I have seen it here locally 70 80 bucks for a 160 gallon bucket. I hope that isn't the new price your talking about.

Step one: order two on auto ship.
Step two: cancel the auto ship subscription
Step three: wait on $28 buckets to arrive :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:
Last time i did this the buckets were both cracked. Dont get me wrong i got two partial buckets of salt for free but it was a pita because they wouldn’t deliver it and i had to go to the PO to get it. Ao i try to do bags and boxes now.
