Hi, I purchased my tank used and have had it about 2 years. Since it came with livestock I never really got a chance to consider things like a 3d background.

I've seen some made with spray foam, sand, gravel, and spray paint that reportedly completely reef safe as long as you let them completely cure.

I would definitely do my on research on that before doing it. But even if I made it I'd have to attach it under water.

Any ideas on if this could be done or has anyone done it? I thought about plastic coated magnets, but concerned about dead spaces etc behind it.
