I am currently building my tank upgrade! Moving from a 2.5 year old Nuvo 40 to a 75 Ext. Really excited to have a sump and found the right deal. Everything has been happening slowly. I just finished plumbing the tank. And started organizing my controller cabinet. This weekend I will be moving it in place and possibly starting the scape. The setup will be..

Innovative Marine 75 EXT
Fiji cube 20 sump
Red sea RSK 300 skimmer
Reef octopus VarioS-2 return pump
2 Ecotech MP40s
Maxspect Gyre XF300

Nice! I am looking at IM EXT series tanks as my next upgrade. That plumbing is top notch. I am looking for sumps that is Reefmat friendly to avoid the filter socks.
I was looking for used and stumbled on a new tank deal that I couldn't turn down. But when researching I liked the innovative marine as well. I love the external over flow. I love my nuvo 40 quality, just not the aio. The plumbing was my first time doing any PVC work. But I researched alit and found many reference pictures. I plan on running filter floss.

Wow, this is your 1st PVC plumbing? Impressive. I am making notes of your wonderous plumbing now so i can try to imitate later down the road.
I looked up lots of other threads for similar builds. I saw what people didn't like about there own builds. Thanks for the compliment.

Beautiful job on the PVC. I just pulled the trigger on the exact tank today taking advantage of the 40% off deal. The Fiji 20 looks like a perfect option saving space yet having a lot of function. Following along and taking notes!

Their helio heater systems are great.

I have the Helio PTC in my system. Agreed , it is the best heating system to date.

I started the hobby with the IM Nuvo 20 and upgraded to the fusion 40 . I do like their tanks.

I bought this all in a deal although most of the stuff was new. The sump was in the deal. But also happened to be one I was looking at. In my case because I have a separate cabinet for electronics I probably would have used more of the space. That would have given me more space in the fug compartment. But I can put my Ato there. Btw thanks. I tried very hard to do it right the first time and keep it clean.

What are your plans for lighting? I have 2 XR 30s but am struggling on the best way to mount them. I have the standard rear mounting arms but am not sure if they will work with the overflow box spacing them out too far. My tank arrives Friday.

The overflow is 16 wide(10" in front each end). You might be fine with the mount on each side of the box. If I were to be using my hydra 26s. I would want them about 9inches in from the ends to center. So that might have worked perfect.

I am going to try t5 and A360x(2) combo. I acquired that with the tank. If I don't like that I might try other combos of T5, hydra 26hd and A360x. I will figure out the light setup and par before I transfer my corals over. Set it and forget it. But any combo will be hanging from the ceiling.

Rock scape first draft that I like. Lots of tunnels and caves throughout. Side slope nicely for corals. And open sand for a big fat show piece meat coral of some sort.

Awesome thanks for the specs. I love the shimmer from the Kessils. That’s going to look great.
