My Waterbox Infinia 275.6 turns up tomorrow. It is going to be in storage whilst I plan the switch over from my current 6ft (unfortunately it is going in the same spot). As I have mentioned on another thread, I am building a mixing station in my outdoor shed so I can automate the top off of the RO reservoir and I might even automate water changes but I haven’t got that far as yet.

Based on lots of reading and a lot of questions. I was going to put the mixing station and RO top up in the shed which is about 12 metres (40 ft) away. My plan is to run an FMM module connected to my apex and just buy one of the extensions below to connect the pump to the FMM module. I was also going to pump the RO direct into a smaller tank from my mixing bucket, before putting directly into my sump so I don’t risk dumping 150litres into my sump. Does all that sound about right?

You can buy a 50ft one. I’m interested if the ‘set up’ sounds right.

I’m going to use a wifi enabled pump for or wifi enabled plug switches to control the mixing station.

The tank finally turned up. A blooming good job it went into my neighbours garage. It was close though. Now the fun really begins.

Swap over date set for 15th May. Just in process of buying all the gear for the salt mixing station.

Just arrived back from Nashville where I bought an algae turf scrubber as well.

The mixing station was installed yesterday so we have started. Just waiting for my extra long cable to arrive to connect the apex top up unit.

Hi

Sorry, I am not good at social media (ie don't have anything) so tend not to be good at the forum stuff. But here goes.

The swap over was tough, it was blooming heavy and four men struggled to get it on the trolley. We lost my coral beauty in the process and also a couple of corals died back but one of them seems to be coming back to full strength whilst the two branching monti's are struggling on. I will post a few photos but if you have any questions just ask.

The outdoor mixing station works a treat with my running an apex cable 30ft to auto top up the water in the sump. I run an auto top off from the RO tub to a small tank under the RO Tub and then the Apex top up in the sump with a pipe through the wall. I went away for 4 weeks and it worked perfectly. It has made such a difference with ease of maintenance.

And here it is today after I saved up and bought two new Radions. I am still trying to determine if I can get away with two lights and what settings to have them on. I have set them to 80% today on an Ecotech LPS setting, but I wonder if that is best. I am doing a bit of research now. I am in the process of sorting out the cables for the MP40s but have just ordered some cradles, so I am waiting for them before tidying.

I also bought a mini fridge from Amazon and put that next to the tank. I am dosing Firstbite Copepods, which is making the Chromis and Anthias flourish.
