Hey guys I trust that you are all well

I have a strange situation where I owned two porcelain crabs before I purchased my anemone.

Can you guys give me some advice If the crare irritating the anemone he has been closed for 2 to 3 days.

Is it better for me to remove the crabs or should I rather leave it and hope that he opens naturally.

It is young. Just over three months and yes the diatoms are crazy at the moment I added some phosguard to the filter to try help get rid of them. I was unaware that the diatoms which actually be harmful to the nem
Both the young age and diatoms can irritate the nem. I would recommend that you deal with the diatoms through CUC and time, using additives like that can risk getting worse things. The "uglies" are part of dry rock tank starts. And. what are your params?

They are trying to do what they naturally do. Porcelain crabs bond with anemones, they live near or in them. Not always, but sometimes, I guess yours are trying.
Im not sure they are causing the irritation though given the other factors at play.

keep an eye on them, and see how they are behaving. If they continue to be open and happy then it likely was the crabs.

That’s probably the best advice I have gotten. Will them nem be fine without it.
it should be, its photosynthetic. Make sure lighting isn't too high, params are stable, and maybe upsize your CUC, some ceriths and trouchus would help.

Porcelain crabs do best with larger anemones, like magnifica and carpets. I've seen them live within larger BTAs, but yours might be too small to support one crab, and two of them would be a stretch.
