Hello everyone!
I manage my tank using balling method. I mix aquaforest components powders (kh buffer, calcium, magnesium and mineral salt + components strong) with rodi water. Then I put the solution into 3 x 1.5liters acrylic tanks.
The solution ratio is what is suggested by aquaforest.

My daily consumption is about 250ml/day per component.

My question is:
Can I double the concentration of each component so that I can dose half mixed solution (125ml)?

Could I have any problem doing that?

Thanks
Andrea

FWIW, I'm no chemist, but... according to google:

Sodium Bicarbonate maximum solubility is around 96 (ish) grams/Liter at room temp (20 C)

It looks like they are using Sodium Bicarbonate in Component 2 which is near its maximum solubility according to the recipe above, so don't think you can make it 2x concentrated.

I'd wait for the chemistry pros to weigh in before trying to mix this up,

If we are talking about just Balling Part C, yes, I agree that you probably can and if no precipitate remains, you are good to go.

You can double or even higher the concertation of the part that you can and leave to recommended concentration on the parts that you cannot. Just adjust the total volume you added accordingly.

Yeah, this definitely explains why I didn't find any reefer which doubles the concentration of component 2.
Thanks!
