Hmmmm …. It isn’t THAT bad.

1) You could go with a minimalist look. That would mean taking out about 3 - 5 pieces of rock.

2) Or you could go with a higher stacking giving you room for a gap between two piles of rock.

3) Or you could go with option 2 and go asymmetric. That would mean a small stack on one side, a gap and a larger taller stack on the other.

Here is my awful paint drawing diagram thingy!!

I think you could keep a few of the larger rocks, outlined in red, as the base rocks, and then take the others that look like good arches/bridges and place on top of the base rocks. It might take moving the base rocks from where you have them now, slightly turning, repositioning to make good bases, but it looks like this could work. Then depending on stability of your rocks, they might be able to 'click together' and stay, or you might need to use putty.

You have nice rocks. You can break some of them to make the scape look less bulky.

What I did when doing mine is I found a video and pictures of what I liked and tried to do something similar. I wanted something a little more minimalistic.

BRS has nice videos. Check out EMarco Reef 400 for cimenting the rocks into the shapes you want. Small/medium blocks so you can take them out of the tank without breaking an arm, if you have to.

Options 2 and 3 definitely sound better! My tank is fairly fresh so I’m afraid removing any rock could be detrimental and crash the system

This was actually super helpful and something I think I needed!! Definitely gives me ideas of where to start and go with it! I lack major artistic ability so diagrams like this are key for me!

Okay so I took my best stab at your layout! There purple rock was completely not compatible with stacking with my others so Improvised. My temperature on water change was about .5 degrees off so waiting for it to adjust and testing levels to see what if any damage I did!

what do you think?

Nice! I think you made a lot of spots for fish to hang out in/under.

This is almost exactly what i did in my tank. Then I bought some frag zone rubble rocks, and then I've been gluing and putty-ing them in additional spots to add coral.
