Hi reefers,
I start using Kalk + All for reef to substitute three parts to achieve a better PH. However, I do notice my CA and MG have been raising after about a month. I have tuned the dosing volume to (my tank is 53G SPS + Euphyllia):

1050ml Kalk daily
+
20ml All for Reef daily

in this volume, my CA and MG are stable while I need to add Red Sea KH separately (around 4-6ml) to maintain the KH lever.

What's your suggestion? Should I also dose dKH separately? I do have a single head doser.

Thank you and happy reefing!

Is nitrate rising? That depletes alk and not calcium.

Kalkwasser adds a tiny bit more calcium than proportional for the alk and thus it can raise calcium (and lower magnesium) if used to maintain alk it adds none over the long haul.

Adding some extra alk is a fine plan, regardless fo the reason.

I'd just continue to add more alk, or add more of the other additives (AFR or kalkwasser, or both) to maintain alk and watch long term to be sure calcium doesn't rise too much.
