6 months ago. i noticed one of my grye propellers was not spinning. upon inspection i notice the propeller bushing is wore out/ ripped in half. i have owned this grye for 5+ years with 0 problems

things i did in an attempt to solve the new problem were
1. bought and installed a new impeller shaft.

2. bought and installed new cage fittings.

3. bought and installed new propeller bushings

a few days later the same problem returned. one bushing, on the same side wore out in less than a week. so here are the things i did to try and solve this problem for a second time.

4. I removed the new impeller shaft and put the old impeller shaft back in,

5.installed ANOTHER new propeller bushing.

well as of today the same problem has returned for a 3rd time. it took 5-6 months to develop using the orginal impleller but none the less i have a chewed up/ ripped in half rubber impeller bushing (b) and a worn down plastic impeller fitting (A)

any ideas or theroies as to why one side of my grye is tearing its parts to pieces while the otherside is fine as wine?

it appears to me that the motor is turning the grye but the propeller is getting binded; causing the fitting to wear out. i may remove the white piece of the cage fitting (item 2 above) and test this theroy. if it hold to be true, then the propeller shaft the slides into this cage fitting must be slighty bent... so plausible . lol

then the only thing to replace is the cages and the propellers.

Is the entire pump 6 months old or did you replace that bushing 6 months ago?

When the white part is worn, they eat those bushings exactly as pictured

Same for me.. about 5 years running without even cleaning. The impeller gets gunked up adding resistance(or held back) Destroying these parts. Then I disassembled and cleaned only for the 2nd to only last months. Good thing they come with replacement bushings, couplers, and even extra set of impellers/ cages assembled with more bearings, bushings, couplers(thank Pay close attention that the motor shaft is installed the correct direction. I've found that,if incorrect, the motor shaft doesn't sit centered in motor block

directly from coralvue website..

the white shaft is slight bent. when i rotate it in the cage, i can clearly see the grye motor side of the propeller rise and fall. odd that it developed a sight bend..... any way i ordered new propellers and slapped some heat on this bent one, in an effort to straighten it up a little, hopefully it will last a few days until the new ones arrives.

Hmm, ill check again. When did you get yours? And didn't your pump come with spare impellers? That looks identical to my maxspect xf250
