Does anyone happen to know what these types of cam lock fasteners/locking mechanism are called generically?
(Kind of like..."that is a phillips head screw", or something analogous to that, if that makes sense).
this picture is from the IM website and it is part of their shelf kit for their APS stands.

This is the same mechanism that locks the frame pieces together too.
Cant find out what they are called. I assume they are not proprietary to the APS frame.
I am looking to see if there are other types of fastener shapes/styles that have the same locking mechanism for the grooves in the APS frame.
I reached out to IM. no word yet.

Thanks but sorry, I meant the other end…the end that connects and grabs on to the aluminum frame.
Probably should not have use the Phillips head analogy….
I know IM sells a shelf (or at least they did at one point), but it may not come with those locking mechanisms. I gather you're just after more of these to build-out your stand? (I'd imagine you could source them from IM)

Thanks, yes they have them for sale ($20 for a pack of 4).
However, I wanted to see if other manufacturers made them in other shapes/applications so I could see about making other adjustments in the stand. Clip on options, hanging equipment, etc.
Not mission-critical but wanted to poke around.

Try searching for "t slot fasteners" (along those lines). A quick Google search showed a lot of fastener options for the t slot aluminum frames.

Not really. I was not able to find the fasteners that would fit the IM APS frame other than the ones they sell. Those are fine and not suggesting they don’t work. Just looking for additional options.
Perhaps I did not come across things that are out there.

All that said, I set things up just fine and not having issues.
