Identifying ‘white fuzzy thing’ in my tank

Hey all.
I’ve been searching and can’t identify this critter that seems to be multiplying in my tank.
several of these are attached to glass or rock

looks like a pineapple sponge. Harmless and a good sign of good water quality.

Thanks! Hadn't heard of this one before.
Just now googled it and the images seem to match.

Thing is..... I've got crap water quality.
Nitrates and ammonia spiked recently and my corals have been super ticked about it. (still not sure why, tank has been running a year now)
Broke a fitting on my RO, so I've had to top off with tap water (well) until parts come in and I can change out some water.

So ya, my water quality is currently in the turds.
