Hello my friend purchased me this coral.
he said it’s a hammer. I’m not sure if it’s a hammer or torch.
Is it a gold head hammer? It’s tentacles extend pretty far.

oh okay. i just have one behind it and it doesnt look the same. A purple tip one. guess the golds extend farther? or maybe the heads are babies?
Yes hammers can extend far. Nice looking piece

I just put him in my tank. It opened up that way i have him on the bottom. should i try to find a lower flow spot? I just put him down there so he could open up before moving.
Let it settle in. If it looks happy, make no changes

poor thing was finally getting use to the water and was opening up. and my pistol shrimp decided the hammer was his now! was trying to move it across the tank to his burrow!
