Hello,
I recently got these at my LFS, does anyone know what they are? I thought one was a Zoa but it doesn’t look like any Zoa I have seen this far. Yes I know that is a Duncan. The other one maybe some sort of leather??
Thanks

Be aware it will drop babies and invade your space in a short period of time. I threw mine away, nobody wanted it.
You know, everyone says this but in my experience that's not true. Got 3 different types in my 15 gal tank, and while we all have grown. None have dropped any babies off. The the oldest 2 I've had for a year and half.

It it true you can prune them like a plant?
Yup cut away and either frag them, give them away or whatever you want. It's like trimming a tree. Just cut right at the main stalk and it'll shrivel up for a few hours and then we'll start to stand back up. I've got to cut mine every 3 weeks just so it has room. I keep mine in the back corner of the tank and it's getting so big that it's rubbing up against the rockscape and the two panes of glass.

And I've seen mine a couple times drop a 2- 2 1/2" branch and tumble around in the current till it finds a place to attach. That's the couple times that I've noticed them dropping their babies as people would say. There's probably been three or four times that I haven't seen anything drop and a week later I would see a branch sprouting from between the rocks here and there.

There was one place I didn't want one of the branches growing so I used my grabber and I gave it a quick tug and I just pulled it in half and then used a pair of metal tweezers and yanked it right off the base of the Rock and a month later guess who started the grow! I guess there must have been a tiny speck left over and it started to grow so I've just left it.

Well, I can assure you mine did. I even found some months after I threw the big frag out.
