This is weirding me out a lot because the tank is taking forever to cycle, and now I'm getting these growths out of nowhere.
I've been cycling a barebottom tank with dry rock from Aquaforest for weeks now. I used Bightwell Microbacter Start XLM with Brightwell Microbacter QuickCycl (Ammonium Chloride).
The tank has only ever got ambient light, and all the equipment from the previous tank (Clarisea and 2 gyres) was out of water for months and washed an RO/DI; however, something is growing on the rock. What is it? Chrysophytes?
