I’ve had some polyps start to lose some color and begin shrinking. I can not find any pests after dipping, but I did find these egg sacks around some of the bad looking polyps. Today I noticed what resembles bristleworm spines sticking out of some of the polyps.

Any idea what either “thing” could be?

I dipped a good portion of the zoa pile tonight and found nothing but bristleworms, little bristle starfish, and usual pods.

Plan on checking again once the lights have been off for a while with a UV flashlight to see if I can find anything.

Didn’t find any visible pests or abnormalities with the UV light either. Dipped a few chunks of polyps after lights out and still jus the same little bristleworms, and serpent stars. Maybe it’s the bristleworms leaving behind the spines that’s causing the demise of the polyps…

If I find anything definitive I’ll be sure to post an update.
