I I have two clam like hitchhikers on one of my snails. I thought it was a piece of super glue at 1st. But today I noticed them opening and closing when a fish got close to the snail. And they have balck lines on them. you csn see them in the pictures.
What is it and is it dangerous?

I think it's more likely a Jingle Shell (Anomiidae) as they attach to other shells or hard surfaces. Placunidae are mud dwellers.
Either way, should I be worried about them spreading all over the tank. Or am i ok with leaving them in there on the snail.
