I was expecting elevated number of silicon on my tank water due to combating Diatom but why do I have trace of silicon on ky RODI system. My RODI is 5 stage purchased from BRS and it was already pre assembled… my TDS is reading 0 and it’s only 1 month of use… yes the sensor is placed correctly and I read TDS can be read 0 and still have trace of silicon. I don’t think this is going to help battling diatom with every water change due to the current situation on my RODI. Someone suggested adding one more stage to eliminate silicon.. any feedback would be appreciated.

Silicates are difficult to remove completely by RODI process.
If it's a new tank, then Diatoms are a natural stage most will experience. If you remove them mechanically, silicates level eventually will drop in your tank.
