Mighty jet is 24v and the ice pack puts out 12
True but most 24v dc pumps will operate at 12v. Anyway you can fix it by getting a second and putting them in series.

If I'm not mistaken it's been reported that 12v won't activate the mighty jet controller. Haven't heard if anyone trying multiple battery packs.

It works if you do what I show. I’m using it with a mighty jet.

What am I looking at here? two 12v batteries in series? And would linking two ice cap battery backup v3's together technically give 24 volts?

So all that is 2 12v batteries in series to make 24 and some diodes so power can only go one way like a check valve, the stripe on the diode is the direction of power, and also some sort of charging to keep the battery charged. this could be easily made to get way more then 2.5 amp hours, I'm a marine electronics guy and im going to try and design something so it can run off of a 50-100ah battery at 24v.

I get the 2-12V batteries in series but what is the other component and where can I get one? I’m looking to get something to act as an automatic battery backup to run my mighty jet in the event of a power outage while not home
