? Run the lights for 6-8 hours and measure.

Dependent upon amount of photosynthesis that the portion of plant will perform. Might not be detectable or it might push it to zero but you wont know until you get it going.

How quickly would it use up phosphate and nitrate?
My tank is at 0.03ppm phosphate and 18ppm. 45G total
Likely not. Its more ornamental than it is compared to other macroalgae for nitrate consumption but thrives on nutrients and is a known food source for many fish

Your nutrients are fine, I would keep them where they are at if it were me.

Snails will eventually figure out it tastes good. For me was about 3 months. Then they would eat it throughout the day and night. They literally ate all of it

I'm trying to lower them to at least 10ppm.
They used to be at 25ppm.
I have run .1 phosphate 50 nitrate with no issues. Im down to .03 and 10 now and don't see a difference between the two. I do have thriving acro.

10 or 25 makes almost no difference to anything

But it'll provide another food source for herbivores

Okay, so I would be ready to add my first corals? I thought I really needed my nitrates down to 5-10ppm...
