I need help picking. 100g tank planning

I am looking to set up a bigger tank, 4ft long, with all new gear. I know there is talk about RedSea and leaks, but I still like all the features of the Reefer MAX 425 G2+ System. I am also looking at Waterbox Aquariums MARINE X 110.4 PLUS Edition, but the lack of a filter roller, controller app, and other little things is going to make the prices about the same. I am also open to other ideas, but I really want to get things that work well together. Any thoughts or other AIO options? Or should I be building a package from scratch myself?

How about considering Innovative Marine tanks. I have one of theirs, not an AOI, but I’ve been very happy with it. They have a good reputation and reasonably priced.

Just looked at theirs, and it looks like their 4’ AIO tanks are shallow tanks, 16” deep. May not fit the bill for you.

I prefer building a custom tank from the ground up with carefully selected equipment to achieve stability. I have a g2 xl 300 and a g1 reefer 170. I also have a WB 330.7. I have no complaints on either. I do not buy into complete systems like the max but prefer to select my own equipment. I have a reefmat and a reefdose and I do like the reefbeat app compared to some others I use.
Custom as @danreef55 stated is really the way to get a system exactly the way you want it. The 330.7 is my newest tank. I almost went custom but decided I just didn't feel like doing all the diy plumbing.

I have an ext 170 and ext 50. I also have a RS 170.
I went with IM for the large display due to RS having seam issues on larger systems.
IM has some interesting 4' systems worth looking at.

I have a Waterbox 110.4 and love the tank. THe sump on the other hand i could do without.

I looked at Cade before I got the WB. To much lost front to back depth with the ato reservoir on the back for my liking. Not sure if they are all like that.

I've never done it any other way. These complete buy everything from 1 manufacturer is on the newer end of the reef hobby.
I do see the appeal, but I like buying my individual components. One company may make an ok tank but the skimmer or lights may be less suited to my liking.

There a lot of aquarium manufacturers these days and I think most of them do a package deal if one less of a diy person.

Innovative marine makes a great product. I got their EXT 75 complete system a yr ago. Couldn't be happier.

So many choices.
After 30+ I could have went with any tank/system.
I went with IM/RS.
The reason I wanted the complete system is I only then need to buy my personel equipment choices.

My days are over piecing together the 3 main parts as the new systems are that well designed, imo.

The other side is a full custom to get exactly what you want.

Get a plan together on equipment as its more personel than the basic tank/stand/sump part of the hobby.

One google search of redsea tanks would shy me away from ever getting one…

I havw been wildly happy with my planet aquariums 180 and 70g.

I think picking everything seperate while more work will get you what you actually want vs it hitting 90% what you want.
