I my last thread I inquired about my wall hammer losing tissue and I appreciate all the responses with great suggestions. It was losing tissue in the middle section and it was spreading outward as shown.
I removed it from the aquarium and made a Dremel cut on both sides of the dying part and then used a chisel and hammer to cleanly break it along the line I cut. Here is the middle dead portion below.
I then soaked the end pieces in tank water mixed with an iodine coral dip. I then spread super glue on the newly cut edges and let them fully cure in a container of aquarium water.
Below are the healing pieces as of this morning. It's not fully extended, but at least I didn't outright kill it yet.
