I pulled one of my media baskets today to replace it with a UV sterilizer. I noticed these guys behind the basket wall. They don’t have a triangle head and to me don’t look like a detritus work.
Any ideas?

Here’s another picture. This was taken while I was cleaning the media basket. Upon further inspection I don’t think they are worms. They are hard and calcified like old bird ****. What could this be?
