Just saw this on liveaquaria and thought it looked funny, (sailfinxscopas?). I have a hybrid scopas in my tank already. But would like to hear others thoughts on this fish and if I’m just looking too much into it.

I suppose it's possible. Z velifer and scopas overlap in distribution. It might just be a scopas. I would just sell it as such, and I wouldn't pay over regular scopas price.

the LA one looks like Sailfin x scopas to me but with the species being so different I’m not sure if they would breed or produce viable offspring

I was thrown off by it too.. I never really came up with an answer.. I think at 59 dollars I’ll say scopas, maybe with time the lines will fade.

Nope. Haven’t seen those before, but now I have to look them up
The more i look into baby scopas, the more I agree. Haven’t seen an adult sailfin x scopas but one of my lfs has had one before.
