How to rinse inside of DI cartridge?

I always buy prefilled cartridges for my AquaFX RODI. I want to start filling my own. What is the best way to rinse out the cartridge after I dump the used resin? Can I just rinse with tap water and let dry? Or should I use RODI water?

I rinsed the sponge at the bottom of the cartridge with tap water to remove the resin stuck to it. I figured I’d just let it dry.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Tap water is fine.

I like to have a second one so I can swap them out. Tap water is fine unless your putting it right back in then in would rinse it in rodi after tap.

Frankly never rinsed them and I've been refilling for years.

Yea either don’t rinse, or rinse with tap and then let the unit run for a minute to flush out tap. The little water from rinsing won’t be noticed.
