hows it goin yall, didnt know where exactly to post this so if it needs to be moved let me know. but im going to be picking up a 210 gallon tank tomorrow (well starting today) for an amazing deal, but the problem lies with all the pests in the tank. i mean it when i say i saw just about everything i dont want to have in a new tank, aptasia, snails, starfish, gha, cyano, etc. the man who is selling it is super kind but just let the tank go during his move.

What would be the best way to clean everything. ive heard citric acid for the tank and bleach for the rocks and sand but just want to hear everyones input :D the tank is getting set up once i move over the summer so ive got time to get all the bad out before.

any bit of help would be greatly appreciated

I would honestly just start with fresh rock, fresh sand, just basically restart. I like muriatic acid mixed with water and let that sit in a tank for a week - 2 weeks, drain the whole thing then fill with saltwater after a rinse. If you’re getting any corals you can put them in a quarentine and dip them every 2 weeks until the display is up and running.

I personally wouldn't save anything. Remove everything into bins then when i get home set the tank back up in the garage and fill the tank back up with the hose. Then dump a gallon of bleach in it and turn everything back on. Let that run for a day then drain and run the hose back through everything.

Or just bleach the rock and clean the rest with spray bleach or soak certain parts with bleach.

After the bleach you can do a touch up cleaning with vinegar solution spray.

Do not save that sand toss it. Sand is inexpensive or just don’t use sand.
