I have a Large FOWLR tank and wanted to know how quick can I raise my salinity? I normally use the 30 mins for every .001 when I acclimate fish that are .002ish off but I would be raising it from 1.011 back to 1.024. I want to run Hypo on my tank because I have a concert that there might be flukes inside. Also How fast would I be able to lower salinity in my tank?

From what I have read in the past, raising the salinity to fast will hinder the fish and bacterial...I think no more than 2ppt per day but this will also depend on if you have corals...more specific SPS which 2ppt will be to much.

You can lower salinity quickly. Over the course of a couple days is reasonably safe.

Going back up in salinity is harder on the fish. I would do it over a week or two.

I would raise it over 4 or 5 days. That's probably overly cautious though, I'm sure you can go faster. Hopefully someone can chime in with a more educated and exact answer.

Depends what fish you have. Mollies can be converted from freshwater to saltwater over ~1 week, so if your fish are hardy, maybe 4-5 days. If they are more sensitive species, you may want to be slower.
