Am I dosing too much kalk? I am currently dosing 320ml day of fully saturated seachem kalk and it feels too much but seems to be maintaining everything level. I am also dosing 5ml all for reef.
20 gal heavily stocked mix reef.
I wish it would help raise calcium but I am afraid to dose more.
Any thoughts?

Too much kalkwasser happens when the amount of fully saturated (2 tsp per gallon) solution either exceeds your evaporation or elevates pH above 8.6 consistently

For a 20g tank, too much is likely in the 1000-2000ml per day range. You aren't even close.

Secondary issue.

Kalk will only raise calcium and alkalinity equally. If your calcium and alkalinity are not balanced.

1. Use another test and/or trident calibration to verify that your calcium is actually that low. It is unlikely when giving a balanced additive that calcium would be under 400 with alk at 9.5. I suspect you might actually be closer to 500.

2. If secondary verification determines you really are at 399. Just add some calcium chloride 10 ppm per day until you are at 450.

If neither alk nor pH are ever above your target ranges when dosing, then the dosed amount is not too much.
