I have a 50 gallon tank with six fish and I want to add 5 more fish at once. The tank has been up for more than a year now. Is it okay to add 5 fish at once or is that too much.

I haveIt can really depend on the current fish you have and the ones you plan to add. Generally, with one fish at a time it's easier to deal with potential conflicts between fish. You also gradually increase your bio load instead of hammering it. But again, it depends on the fish.
And the ones you'd like to add are...?I have
2 clownfish
Royal gramma
Pyjama cardinal
Rainbow wrasse

Goby should be fine. Lawnmower blennies need *lots* of algae, and I have a hard time supporting mine in a 160-gallon tank (so just a heads up). Chromis should be fine - but they need multiple daily feedings to stay out of trouble.Diamond goby
Lawnmower blenny
3 blue chromis

The clownfish should leave most of these additions alone (no guarantee, though).
