I had an EB832 fail today where it stopped powering the A2 control head, and the LED's stopped lighting. Fortunately I had a new out of the box spare. But when I start adding modules, the lights on the head started to flicker, and the processor crashed. The Aquabus voltage was too low. I have a new spare A3 head, and its doing the same thing. But when I plug in the external AC adapter into the head, I can get the system to power up fully.

What is maximum number of Aquabus expansion modules that an EB832 can drive? I'm only running 5 modules, and really confused as to what is going on.

We have 36 or 40 modules on our system. All daisy plugged from 1 module to next with Apex A2 at the end of it.
Not sure how many system can handle but 5 or 6 in your case shouldn't overload it as you see ours has many more.
Note: we have commercial facility.

The internal 24V power supply is limited, but the 832 can handle dozens of daisy-chained modules. Have you tried swapping out the aquabus cable between the head and the 832?
