How long for gonipora to adjust to light?

I've had a gonipora for a couple of months and it's been fine and extended. Some of my SPS looked like they could use more light so I pumped up the whites by 5%, since then the gonipora hasn't been fully opened (there was also a period of 5 days when salinity went from 0.26 to 0.28.

I'd prefer to keep the whites up as I would like to get more SPS, and hoping it will acclimate? Any advice?

all my goni's are under metal hallide lights, so whites won't bother them and bright light won't bother them. Adjusting lights by only 5% shouldn't bother anything.

It might be the salinity difference that is bothering them, IDK, but I would just leave it alone and see how it goes. They can get moody for a few days.

Or maybe post a pic and share the tank details for more idea's.

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking about moving it lower.. but I'll hold off. It seems before lights on, it begins to extend a bit, but then retracts even before the PAR increases. I'm going to do my weekly water change and take stock of parameters and if it continues to stay moody for another week I'll get more aggressive with my research!
