How long do I keep clowns in timeout?

One of my two clowns recently started bullying my royal gramma and yellow longnose so yesterday I caught both and put them into a Fluval 13.5 that had been running fallow for at least 3 months. How long should I keep them in "timeout" and would changing around the rockwork a little bit help in this case?

He's not wrong. 2 weeks is the usual recommendation. Can also try restructuring rocks to make it seem foreign instead of home

Mine has been in timeout for 7 years. She is about 7 1/2 years old.

I've tried multiple times to include her in a community. She goes on a killing spree every time. She's got a head count.

For what it's worth, she's been with a pink streaked goby for a week now and is behaving. It's only been a few days out of her acclimation box.

Your story is why I have this setup. 2 tanks for 7 years.

I'm gonna hope and pray that the timeout and rescape is enough. For what it's worth my clown does not have a body count just yet. It's only been some chasing and facing off, but I'm prepared to rehome if that's the case. Just a bummer that the DaVinci clown ended up developing a mean streak lol
