So asside from following the basic instructions that come with NOPOX, I did one extra thing. When my PO4 hit 0ppm, instead of stopping NOPOX dosing, I dosed in Brightwell NeoPhos right before dosing NOPOX. I doubt the order matters.

I wasnt sure how much to dose of the NeoPhos so I started at 2mL and worked my way up until I started to see the NO3 drop.

I never changed the dose of nopox the entire time.

My tank is 70g and my dosages that did the trick where 5mL NOPOX, and 10mL NeoPhos.

My NO3 is now 5ppm after only 1 week, down from being at 12 for months. I am running ATI essentials so I haven’t done a waterchange in a while. Not sure if I should push it lower. Thoughts?

I have to give a shout out to @Randy Holmes-Farley for giving me the idea. He told me in another thread that PO4 is required for NOPOX to lower NO3.

So if NOPOX isnt lowering your NO3, just add in PO4 and watch it drop.
