Hi,
I have 2 reef breeder photon 50 v2 pro and plan on hanging them from my ceiling, but not sure how far from the tank should I hang them. Also should I off set them or keep them both directly in middle to give some shaded spots on to the sides of the tank? Tank is 6 feet long, 2’5” deep and 2’5” tall

Of course will have my house lights off when filled.

Depends on a couple of things.
1. Desired par and par distribution = corals to keep
2. Lower mount will give better par, allow runni g lights at less than 100%, Increasing life. Lower mount may compromise tank access for maintnance.
You can find example par distributions for most common lights at various mounting heights, perhaps even with 2 fixtures.

Because of the way the LEDs and reflectors are setup, the Photons need to be mounted pretty high to increase color blending. I think in the BRS test, the 48" fisxture needed to be 16" or so above the water to avoid hotspots and increase blending. Might be worth giving their video a watch to get a better understanding of the lights.
