So, fall is around the corner. And typically, I put all of my house plants outdoors for spring and summer and bring them in for fall and winter.

Unfortunately, my house doesn't have much natural light at all, and house plants don't do well without supplemental lighting.

I'm thinking that I want to keep some of these plants in the same room with my tanks. I'll place these lights on a timer so that they come on after the lights in the tanks come on and have them go off before the lights in the tanks do.

Do you think this will impact the light cycle on the tanks?

Thank you,
Dom

I doubt it will do anything, especially given they would be on while the tank lights are on and off before the tank lights go off.

I thought the same, just want to be sure.

If they are pointed at the plants nothing if they are pointed at the tank that may be an issue for the tank and plants. I run my fuge on a reverse schedule in an open stand it lights up that area of the room pretty bright no issues in the tank I have seen. My pond also has 4 48" t5 on it in the same room as my reef they are mounted very high off the water for all the very tall plants sticking out of the pond. No issues that I can tell. Fish and corals still go to sleep when the reef light shut off.
