How and what to dose for calcium/magnesium/alkalinity

Hi everyone! This post is rather self explanatory...how and what do you dose into a tank to maintain calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity? I am hoping my 2 gallon reef jar (with its 100% weekly WC's and soft coral dominated stocking) won't need dosing, but a larger future tank with proportionately smaller water changes might. Also, do you need fancy equipment to dose the tank? Thanks :)
