This has been 1 year in the planning and 20 years in the imagination. I am excited and nervous; today I was like oh wait..... NOPE. Holes have been made. This picture does not show the hole that goes in the back wall so I can access it from the back. This tank is
120" X 30" X 30" glass aquarium being made by ......

Great concept!!!
Sort of looks like it will “float” on top the bookcases/cabinets? Ironic since it will prob be heavy duty support below!

who is doing the cabinetry? Is this a kitchen or a bath? Any plan for salt creep management?

Same people as did my kitchen cabinets. The kitchen is to the right and it is an open space, so this tank will flow off of the kitchen. I have thought of salt creeping. Seems I always have some, any ideas what areas I should look out for?

If you can get the bottom edge (where any small spills might dribble down and ruin wood) covered with stone or something of the like, that would help. Just worried about the wood finish.

Counter separate the wood and tank. I'm hopeful water does not get on wood.

Wait did you actually have an outbreak? If so, good luck. After 7 years in the hobby I had my first ich outbreak maybe 6 months ago? It was emotionally devastating. If you are prophylactically treating, good for you. Either way, wish you the best :)
