I just got the rock today and didn’t add to tank yet do they lay eggs? I don’t wanna kill off the rock cause I just bought a lb for $25 as Aussie rock and has a lot of sponges I would like to add to tank. Also added pics from under microscopeBobbit for sure. There may be more, but removing it whole is your primary concern because it can regenerate from segments.
ThankyouI don’t know how they reproduce. Try googling: bobbit worm site:reef2reef.com and you’ll get a bunch of hits. I *think* you’ll be fine so long as you got the worm in tact.
Already didI don't know about the worm, but I see micro brittle stars in the pics at the bottom of your container, not on the rocks. Don't miss out on those guys. Scoop them up and put them in!
I'll take it and pay for shipping to vaPicked up some Aussie rock and when unwrapped this guy shot out. Is this a bobbit. And do I need to worry about eggs? It’s about 4in long. Don’t try to bother you guys much but a bit nervous.
