This little pink guy came attached to a halimeda I ordered. Is it something cute I should try to keep or is it something I should kill with fire?

Hard to say. Looks like a tiny piece of macro algae or something. Which wouldn’t be a problem but I remove all weird looking stuff.

I didn’t want to risk it floating off somewhere I couldn’t find, so I plucked it. I’m pretty sure a millimeter of it remains on the halimeda but at least I bought myself some time. It’s definitely a tangly macro of some sort, possibly asparagopsis? But there’s the cool feather kind and then the “cotton candy” kind which I don’t think I want.
