Hi All,looking forward to sharing experiences. We are planning on buying a 200 Gallon soon so we can get some Tangs, Trigger Fish, and maybe an Angel. Had a 15G Reef NanoCube in 2004 with a clam, clown, blue damsel, some snails, an Emerald Crab, and a few corals. My dream fish is a Mandarin Dragonet but I won't be gerting that one for a few years. My kids want a Diamond Sandsifting Goby. LOL

Welcome! Glad you joined. When you do decide to get a mandarin, perhaps my experience culturing pods the lazy easy banana peel & spirulina method will work for you... it is 'dirtier' than traditional method because of scooping spirulina sometimes. However, this method has worked for me and my mandarin is so fat I named her Orson Wells:

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you in MO:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
