Full disclaimer: as a 28 yo female with so much experience in fish everything… idk what I’m doing (,:

I got into an accident after high school and I’ve suffered really bad memory loss ever since then. Trying so much research but maintaining the info is hard, things seem familiar, but I don’t remember diddly squat from saltwater other than I enjoyed it.

I had a 29gallon saltwater reef I started 7 years ago and it was difficult to do with no help and really insanely complex information on reef tanks back then. I can’t believe how easier it is now… and somehow my tank was still successful!



This was the only image I saved of my tank for some stupid reason… I got really excited to see these guys I guess

I’ve been secretly missing my saltwater for years, and one visit to a marine warehouse and bam—- I was walking out with an even smaller nano tank and things to get started…
7.1 gallons this time! The employees were awesome and didn’t talk to me like I was stupid, so back into the hobby I go.

I’m going to stick with this one and troubleshoot challenges I had in the past until I work my problems out to FINALLY getting my corals !

No five chamber RO/DI this time… so Walmart RO water it is.

I'm sorry to hear of your challenges. That can't be easy. With me, it's as simple as age. I've learned that if I don't write it down, the info gets jumbled. So I've created a series of Word files that help me along. If I learn something, I find the appropriate file and put it to paper. Works pretty well!

I just went to our local Walmart and they have a 5 step filtration RODI system using UV which I’m super excited about, someone before said it was only RO. It’s like 46 cents a gallon for refills but worth it!
