I bought an acantho 2 days ago and when it arrived the bag was torn but it had some water in it. I'm not sure if he's dying or what. Can someone please clarify and make some suggestion as to what to do. And who knows what is that white spaghetti looking thing on it??

It looks deflated and stressed. However it is not dead. They will shrink up when lights are out. The spaghetti things are perhaps mesenterial filaments, which are its fighting stingers to ward off nearby corals. They should retract. Give it some time and see how it looks with the lights on.
