Looks dead except for some polyps but very blue ligght. Look into RTN-disease.Looking at the skeleton Doesn’t look like an acro to me either. Any water parameters? Picture with less blue?

You may have killed it with the dip. However. I dont have reference before you dipped it. What did it look like before you dipped. What concentration did you use? If you are dipping a coral that long, the concentration will have to be very low. Did you follow the instructions on the bottle? I know it says 15-30 minutes. I usually never dip a coral that long unless I forget about it. Always go to the low side and not the long side to be safe when you start out. Did you use your aquarium water? Is this a new aquarium that has never had corals in it? What are the parms on the water you used for the test? There is allot in play here.

I follwed instructions since I got them at a convention show I wanted to make sure it was good 2.5 cap fulls , looked amazing at show. The other coral I got a torch is doing well was a little in but it’s a little more than half way out already and looking good.

Water was fine before i put him in there I acclimated and all. The dip is what I am concerned I may have over done.

What show? Did you get this at RAP?
SeaChem is basically an Iodine bath so if you used good water, I don't think that was the problem.
Is this a birds nest frag?

Post water parameters to determine if water was fine.
Alkalinity
ph
Nitrate
nitrites
Ammonia

Really not interested in the other stuff as it would not burn up a coral that quick. Obviously bad water for an sps and that 30 minute dip would be a bad combo. LPS are a little more forgiving than sps. Just fyi. Not sure if you answered if this was a new aquariuim turnup. How old is the aquarium? How long have you had it setup?

You will definitely kill acropora with a high lvl dip for 30 minutes if it looked ok before dip I’d say that is your answer

Nothing is dead until it is dead. I have had urchins pull out pieces of bone white coral from behind a rock and it recovered. You are not hurting anything by leaving in there. Put it in lower light and lower flow see what happens.
